Profile :

Adam is a partner of the corporate M&A practice in Adam & Aden with over 7 years’ experience advising Indonesian and international corporate clients on foreign investments, financing & fundraising, joint ventures, mergers & acquisitions and divestments, including employment matters, in Indonesia. His practice covers a wide range of sectors, including mining, oil & gas, shipping, real estate, hospitality, consumer goods & retail, financial services, media and technology. Adam practice area also include corporate litigation and experienced in handling suspension of payment & bankruptcy and civil claim proceeding including industrial relation dispute.

Before co-founding Adam & Aden, Adam developed his career in the Indonesia associated-offices of international law firms: Christian Teo & Partners, working alongside international team of lawyers in domestic and cross-border transactions. In 2016, Adam worked as a head of legal in a start-up company providing “easy, cheap, and fast legal services for all” using online platform technology. Despite his position as a head of legal, Adam also took a role in management decision and daily operations and arranged the development of online platform system and recruitment of third-party drafters to minimize the operational costs of hiring in-house lawyers. Adam also participate in mentorship programs for small businesses and start-up companies.

  • An Indonesian company engaged in data and information business, on the USD 3,500,000 acquisition of the company by the Italian company group
  • An Indoneisan company engaged in fright forwading services on fund raising process
  • An Indonesian company engaged in selling and buying properties, on funding structure/scheme, which is legally applicable under Indonesia law, to be presented by the company to its targeted investors in order to get funding up to USD 30,000,000 (the company’s target)
  • An Indonesian company engaged in data analitytic business activities, on increasing of the company capital which transaction was amounting to, approximately, USD 350,000
  • A start-up company engaged in fintech busines on establisment of company as the PMA (foreign investment company), company ownership and operational structure
  • Advising government institution (LPDB or Lembaga Dana Bergulir) on syariah funding system
  • An Indonesian public company which engages in energy sector, in acquiring shares in an Indonesian private company engaging in mining infrastructure services the transaction value was amounting to approximately USD 600,000,000
  • London-based bank in financing a Singapore shipping company for the purchase of a USD 7,000,000 oil tanker ship
  • Subsidiary of a US-based chemical company on its employment dispute
